Adolf Katzenellenbogen was an art historian and professor of Fine Arts, The Johns Hopkins University. He was born, August 19, 1901 in Frankfurt-am-Main, Germany. He earned the doctor of jurisprudence degree, University of Giessen (1924) and the Ph. D. degree (1933) from the University of Hamburg.
